When I go up to the compound, I am aware of the greatest advantage of this place: privacy. It starts with the fact that each of the two stone buildings has a private parking lot and a separate entrance. It continues when the gate opens and your eyes are filled with blue – of the distant sea and the private pool set in the yard – and all around there are bamboo walls for complete privacy and only the west direction is open to the sea. That's how you build a wall.

This view of the Galilee Mountains and the sea doesn't seem to belong in the updated urban interior design, so I went over and checked it out – it's not a Photoshop job, it's really what you see from the window. This place definitely has something to offer in terms of cozy space: Against a backdrop of light tones and clean modern design, I see a tiled four-poster bed, and in front of it a stylish jacuzzi surrounded by windows... and outside: a private swimming pool for the spa suite.

There are a few things that set the Big Oak apart: the absolute isolation within the natural forest, and the host - known to the public as the affectionate name of Barhala. The balconies here are the highlight of the vacation: a jacuzzi-spa that is located in just the right place, an intimate wooden "deck", oak trees all around and the tray of treats you bring from the fridge. Barhala, it is permissible to say here, has a slight deviation (positively) when it comes to the quality of the cheeses and wine you will receive. For meat lovers, an unforgettable experience!

It is impossible to build anything more picturesque than the "yurt" structure, and the view from the outdoor area of the B&B, which brings together the Mediterranean Sea, the Land of Galilee, the Golden Golan and the Sea of Galilee on the horizon - you have to pack it up and take it home.

There aren't many complexes like this, I think to myself as I finish my visit to the "Lev Carmel Estate" in Kerem Maharal. And I'm not just talking about the relative proximity to the central area, which allows those who want a little jump abroad 40 minutes from Tel Aviv. I'm talking about the fact that this place is definitely abroad in terms of the standard of construction, thinking, and design. The location itself is crazy, on a hill that looks far and wide toward open fields and green mountains. There's an amazing mini-villa here designed for a couple who wants to find themselves on the cover of a design magazine, and another 4 intimate, beautifully designed suites that also take advantage of the abundance that nature and the hosts have bestowed on this special place.
