The settlement of Livnim is located next to Kibbutz Hokuk and above Ginosar (5 minutes from the Sea of Galilee), and just above the "Amud" of Nahal Amud (please descend it and hike around!). Recently, the region has begun to develop a branch of tourism and hospitality. As it is still in its beginning stages, the location maintains a fair degree of intimacy and purity, for those who are seeking a quiet, serene corner. The location is excellent – twenty minutes' drive from recreation sites in the Upper Galilee, Zfat, the Golan Heights and Tiberius. In 1989, the settlement became a community settlement. Today, it boasts about 90 families, a few of whom have built deluxe B&B's of the highest quality. The settlement is named for the white poplar trees that grow in the region.
