Because of the privacy and the stone

I meet Usher - the manager of the place (yes, yes, that's her name and you don't realize how fitting the name is for her...) at the entrance to the complex in the Ha'asha neighborhood. "We have 4 identical suites," she says and explains that the beautiful use of stone should be thanked to the owner of the complex - a Jerusalem stone contractor who decided to bring some of the house to the Golan.

He succeeded. The beautiful stone walls go well with the Spanish-style vaulted ceilings and take the place out of the monotonous "stanz" that can be found in many B&Bs. You know when you pass a beautiful house on the street and you want to see what it looks like on the inside? You slow down a little, stretch your neck, hope that some window remains open and peek like this, in a small way, without anyone seeing...

This is exactly what happened to me with 'Tekalt - House of Freedom' in Had-Ness. Every time I enter the settlement I pass this compound and my eye is drawn to the beautiful stone houses and vaulted ceilings. Gotta know what's going on there... Now I finally get to take a look inside, and what do you know - inside it's even more worthwhile...

As we move from suite to suite, I am surprised to discover how well they managed to give each of them their own private and intimate space. This space is slightly different in shape in each suite but contains the same things. It starts with a bluish metal gate that lets me into a compound surrounded by wooden and stone fences, and continues with several large stepping stones leading to a small square made of, well, stone....

There is a cute sitting area and a small wading pool and everything is drowned in vegetation. A hammock is also hidden in a hidden corner, and at this point I'm already quite in love with the place. Understand, when you see quite a few mediocre places, and gently reject their acceptance to the site, it is simply exciting to finally come across such a complex.

The interiors of the suites (slight design differences between them) are also quite impressive, when in one space, paved with stone and covered with a vaulted wooden ceiling, you can find the entire 'check list' including an espresso machine, LCD and jacuzzi (in the bathroom). But the thing here is not a jacuzzi. The stone and wood, the soft colors and the windows that bring the courtyard inside create a special and relaxed atmosphere here. It's a country kitchen painted pastel blue, it's small pictures on shelves, it's a beautiful chair upholstery and a white curtain that flutters over a blue-framed window. Wait - are we in a miracle or a miracle?!...

When I say goodbye to the lovely Mukher, I ask myself if she changed the name especially for this place or if her parents had a particularly developed prophetic sense. Either way - it fits perfectly here...
