A bit about the

The cabin is located down the gradually sloping mud-plastered path, and is constructed of the same materials.  The stairs are constructed of recycled tires that have been covered in mud plaster as well.  The cabin entrance is via a huge terrace that sits above a natural forest.  The terrace boasts two exquisite bamboo armchairs and a pure wood table, under a wood pergula covered with reed mats.

We liked it
The ecological construction, the design and insulation from the environment, the large bathroom
We noticed that
True, the guesthouse is quite close to the cabin, but a dense forest provides an excellent sense of privacy. As part of the hospitality concept of connecting with nature, the cabin does not have a television.

"A Simple Story" is a place that makes you understand that all beautiful things should start with creating something you love. There's no other way to describe this place: the mud construction, the niches, the recycling, the good energy. If we add to that the multitude of treats and the impressive view, you'll understand why I became a "captive" of this place.

Location and ambience

I visit quite a few B&Bs, some of which are truly magical, and every time I think I've seen it all, I encounter a surprise. When I entered "A Simple Story," I realized that everything I would describe here would be a bit "dry" compared to the magical reality.

Dina led me to the cabin down the stepped path covered in earth plaster, the material from which it is built. The steps are made of tires that were also wrapped in the material. Dina explains that during the construction process, no soil was brought in and no waste was removed, out of the principle of trying to have as little impact on the environment as possible.

The cabin is relatively close to the host house, but a dense forest provides excellent privacy.

What does the place include

The entrance to the cabin is through a huge balcony that sits "on" the natural forest, and to prevent you from falling, it is bordered by a railing made from the same branches that were taken down to make room for the cabin. From the balcony, you can see the upper tributaries of the Betzet River, and at sunset, it is worth looking east where you can see them at the height of their glory and power.

The outer shell of the cabin is made of small stones that were collected and placed one stone on top of the other, creating a vertical mosaic. Between this shell and the earth plaster that covers the interior of the cabin, a layer of thermal insulation was placed, which saves energy in heating/cooling. Two large round windows are located at the top of the ceiling, allowing warm air to escape in the summer and sunlight to penetrate in the winter.

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing food on site. There is also a wood-burning fireplace with a basket full of logs for burning. There is also a huge jacuzzi with windows overlooking the green landscape.

You should know
The ecological approach is present: the rainwater collected in winter in jugs and used to saturate you upon your entry.
The soaps are natural (handmade) and produced from cold-pressed vegetable oils.

We left with a feeling of

Sometimes the simplest stories are the best.

Beautiful room, clean and quiet
The B&B is tastefully decorated, showing a lot of thought and care for the smallest details. The B&B gives a real feeling of silence, calm and peace, and it is especially important to note the feeling that the owners of the B&B instill, of generous and relaxed hospitality from the heart. The dinner we ordered from Talia and arrived quickly was also wonderful and recommended. We will be back :-)

Beautiful, private, cozy
I love aesthetics so much, so it's hard to describe the amount of excitement I felt from the design and atmosphere of the place. There were full of small and lovely surprises in the lodge such as candles, oil and burner, coffee chocolate liqueur, fruits, chocolates, spices and olive oil, jams, cookies, fresh flowers. It was fun to just stay in this space, outside or inside and enjoy every detail there, put on a CD from the selection they have even though we have all the music on our phones. To get to the cabin you have to climb some stairs, it felt very secluded and private even though there were some small windows that could not be closed. Small things that would have made the experience better: the air conditioner dripped and it clearly looked like it needed internal cleaning soon, the stereo system stuttered a bit and in the end only one speaker worked, harder pillows for sleeping, a pot for tea, you can invest a little more in cleaning. Sometimes we heard all kinds of rustling like this from the roof, and I was afraid that it would be some unwanted animal, luckily we didn't see anything and it may be that they don't have a way to get into the cabin itself, but it's worth doing an inspection on their part and closing the doors if possible for general prevention. Something important to say, the shower and the toilet are connected to the cabin in such a way that you can hear everything from there, if it bothers him in a way that he can't get over it (which is a shame), it will suit him less. We ordered a sort of vegan breakfast and a very nice meal arrived that was enough for us for two mornings. In conclusion, we had an amazing experience and the little things really didn't interfere with all the discounts we got there. I look forward to going back there.

It was just great!
We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi, the room is nicely arranged and cozy. The hosts were available and pleasant, left chocolates and homemade jams, and generally gave a good feeling by trying to make everything pleasant and good. The only thing that needs to be taken into account and maybe doesn't bother most people, is that on Saturdays most of the day you hear the noise of ATVs/motorcycles from the area and then enjoy the silence less.. :( On the first it was completely quiet and peaceful again.

A secluded and perfect cabin
We are a couple who were looking for a rural and isolated cabin, in the woods and with lots of greenery around. The cabin was just what we were looking for. Let's start with the fact that the pictures reflect the cabin in a completely real way, and it was even more impressive in reality. We felt like we were in some kind of fairy tale... a cabin located right in the middle of a forest, in a grove, completely isolated (and with a sufficient distance from the other cabin as well). Dina was charming and allowed us complete privacy at every step. The cabin was waiting sweetly for us, with delicious treats, clean and equipped with everything needed. The price is extremely fair, and although the cabin is called "a simple story", it is far from simple. A lot of investment in design and thinking about the small items is evident. The jacuzzi was large and luxurious. And the balcony... or the terrace. Just calm and quiet. In short, we had a perfect vacation, we wanted to stay another night and were very disappointed that there was no room. For sure we will be back

Nice but there is room for improvement
The cabin does have a homely feel, but to our taste, and although it is clear that the owners cleaned it well, there was no sense of cleanliness - perhaps because of the type of construction (ecological) the jacuzzi is great, large and spacious, the shower was not at a sufficient level for our taste, needs improvement. Matat is a beautiful and Galilean settlement, but it is important to note that it is half an hour away from any gas station/city, which is a disadvantage for those who want to travel, but can also be an advantage for those who want peace. In conclusion, for us the cabin did not meet expectations. God forbid, I don't want to hurt the nice hosts who are obviously good people who do everything from the heart, but only to enlighten their eyes with the goal of improving the cabin's weakest points for the next guest who especially comes to them from a distance of several hours' drive. blessing and success!
