A bit about theB&B
Ten B&B vacation rentals in small private houses situated among winding stone paths and cultivated flora - I thought you only saw these kinds of things overseas, but it appears they're here too.  The spaces here are huge in comparison to the spaces in other  B&B vacation rentals.

The sense of being in Toscana is not by chance here.  This couple, veteran world travelers, took their dream all the way, and compromised on nothing.  Many items are personally imported from Italy and Mexico:  terra cotta tiles, windowframes and door details, carpentered fixtures, special ceramic tiles in the kitchens and bathrooms, large potted plants, and more and more.  Even the wood ceiling was imported from Italy.

יש גם נקודות צבע אבל כולן מתוכננות מראש: העיטורים על הרהיטים מתאימים לסחלבים, אריחי הטרה קוטה, שנעים בין טורקיז לכחול ים, במשטחי המטבח, מתאימים לפריטי העיצוב השונים. הכול בוהק, הכול מתוכנן בקפידה, את הכול עוטפים קירות כפריים הבנויים בשיטת טיוח מיוחדת של טיח מינרלי בעבודה ידנית.

הסוויטות מאובזרות לעילא, עד אחרון הפרטים: החל מנרות המפיצים ריח נעים, דרך רשתות על החלונות, ועד שני מסכי LCD בכל סוויטה, DVD ומערכת קולנוע ביתית.

לכל סוויטה מרפסת פרטית עם פינת ישיבה מפורזלת ומעניינת הצופה לגינה. בגינה המעוצבת ניכרת ההצלחה בשמירה על האיכות המקורית של הצמחייה הארץ ישראלית במקום, תוך שילובה בגישה טוסקנית סן מיגלית. התוצאה יפהפיה: עצי אגוז קליפורניה לצד עצי זית עתיקים, עצי פרי לצד כרי דשא מוריקים וערסלי רטאן פזורים עליהם. עצי שסק, רימון, אבוקדו ותות, המוארים בלילה בתאורה מיוחדת, לצד עציצי פרחים התלויים על הקירות.

קיימת כאמור בריכת שחיה צלולה, גדולה וכחולה. כאן חשוב לנו לציין נקודה חשובה: החווה נוקטת בגישה אקולוגית, למשל: המים מהג'קוזי משומשים להשקיית הגינה. סתם, שתדעו.

האהבה לבעלי חיים ולאירוח היא שהביאה את שמעון בן חמו לעשות מעשה. הוא הגשים את חלומו הישן המשלב שני חלומות: רכישת נחלה והפיכתה למתחם אירוח, והגשמת אהבת המשפחה לבעלי חיים, מה שהביא להקמת חוות הסוסים במקום. חוות הסוסים מציעה את שירותיה בראש ובראשונה לאורחי הסוויטות, אבל מי שמעוניין לחפש אטרקציות בסביבה ימצא גם גם טיולי טרקטורונים, ומסלול הליכה עם תצפית בהר בטח הסמוך. }

Ahuzat Terra Cotta is a unique estate of spacious construction extending over 8 dunams, luxurious in its wide range of facilities: high-quality swimming pool, spa, sauna and massage treatment complex, horse farm and special vacation rental suites. Definitely a rare holiday location that has developed its design, variety and personal experience as a concept of hospitality. The suites are equipped to perfection, down to the last detail; the interior design is that of a talented landscape and interior design artist and the area radiates quality and serenity.
 

Location and ambience

About B&Bs, horses, a swimming pool and two wonderful hosts...

When you arrive at the compound of the Terra Cotta Estate, you cannot miss the professional and well-kept horse farm on site.

The couple bought eight dunams of land not long ago. Both a Mexican and a Tuscan dream containing an active horse farm (for western-style riding and including therapeutic riding), a heated and designed swimming pool, a spa complex that includes a huge spa jacuzzi, a dry sauna room, a wet sauna, and of course pampering spa treatments that can be ordered on site.

Ten guest suites are located in small private houses scattered among winding stone paths and landscaped vegetation. I thought that only abroad there were such things, it turns out not. The spaces here are huge compared to the spaces in other B&B complexes.

The Tuscan feeling given by the place is not accidental. The couple - experienced world travelers - followed their dream to the end and did not compromise on anything in personally importing many items from both Italy and Mexico: Terra Cotta tiles, window and door items, carpentry accessories, ceramic tiles for the special kitchens, kitchens and bathrooms, large flower pots, and much more. Even the wooden ceiling was imported from Italy.

With a touch of magic, with the help of designers Marcello and Limor Moran landscape and interior design), turned the place into what it is today: a designed gem. The first thing that stands out to those who enter the romantic and pampering suites is white. Bright white of cleanliness and clean white of design. The details of the furniture - all painted in one or another shade of white - from cream to black: the wardrobes, the white linens made of full cotton, the ironwork details, the towels, the caressing bathrobes, the cosmetics in one white or another.
There are also points of color, but they are all planned in advance: the decorations on the furniture are suitable for orchids, the terra cotta tiles that range from turquoise to sea blue in the kitchen surfaces are suitable for the various design items.
Everything is bright, everything is carefully planned, everything is surrounded by rustic walls built with a special plastering method of manual mineral plaster.

The suites are superbly equipped, down to the last detail: from the candles that spread a pleasant scent, through nets on the windows to two LCD screens in each suite, a DVD and a home theater system.

Each suite has a private balcony with an interesting sculptured sitting area overlooking the garden.

The designed garden shows the success in maintaining the original quality of the local Israeli vegetation, while combining it with a Tuscan San Miguel approach. The result is beautiful: California walnut trees next to ancient olive trees, fruit trees next to green meadows and rattan hammocks scattered over them. Shasak, pomegranate, avocado and strawberry trees, illuminated at night with special lighting, next to flower pots hanging on the walls.

As mentioned, there is a heated, clear, large and blue swimming pool. Here it is important for us to note an important point: the farm takes an ecological approach, for example: the water from the jacuzzi is used to irrigate the garden. Just so you know.

It was the love for animals and hospitality that brought Shimon ben Hamu to action. He fulfilled his old dream which combines two dreams: purchasing a property and turning it into a hospitality complex and fulfilling the family's love for animals which led to the establishment of the horse farm on the spot. The horse farm offers its services first and foremost to the guests of the suites, but those interested in looking for attractions in the area will also find ATV tours, and a hiking trail with a view of the nearby Mount Tabah.

To the attention of vacationers: in the summer months - July and August, the complex occasionally also receives families in some of the accommodation units suitable for this. Please check with the owner at the time of booking.


In summary: Terra Cotta Estate offers a unique farm that is spaciously built on eight dunams and indulges in a wide variety of services such as: a high-class pool, horse farms and unique vacation homes. Definitely a rather rare place that went with the theme of design, diversity and the human experience as a hospitality concept.

You should know
  • The area of the estate is particularly large (8 dunams) and contains lawns, gardens and vegetation in the Tuscan and Mexican style
  • The accommodation units are built in Spanish style with the use of terra cotta stones with walls in manual mineral plastering
  • The design combines imported items from Italy and Mexico: window and door items, carpentry accessories, ceramic tiles, flower pots and even the wooden ceiling
  • Each suite has a private balcony
  • In the complex there is an active horse farm, which offers riding services to the guests of the place
  • A loft was built in the mansion for events and bachelor/bachelorette parties
  • A pampering spa complex that includes: a spa jacuzzi, a dry sauna and a wet sauna. Intended for guests only.

The Terra Cotta team (Shimon and Hanita) Hello, I want to thank you on my behalf and on behalf of the entire Vilkomirsky tribe for a wonderful and pampering stay. We were 22 people from the age of 5 to 85, we met to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. In one word - disappointment
We stayed in two units at the Terra Cotta Estate during the month of June 2018. The place is built and designed beautifully and the vegetation is amazing, but the main problem of the place that is felt in every area is the poor level of maintenance and the level of cleanliness that is beyond criticism. Cobwebs everywhere, rust, mold, towels with tears, sheets with stains, heavy dust on the furniture in the room... also in other areas of the mansion, for example in the "upper lobby", which has a sofa, a long table, a television and a coffee corner, the furniture is stained , the table is sticky, and the coffee corner is dirty with milk stains, spilled coffee powder, disposable cups, sugar and more. There should be a team that maintains the place non-stop, for example that goes through and cleans the common areas like the "upper lobby", but there isn't one. We were also told by the owner of the place that rooms are cleaned and towels are changed etc. on Saturday morning, of course no one came to our units and the rooms were not cleaned. One of the units was missing a Nespresso machine, capsules and milk, which we were promised in advance that it would be, and in the second unit the converter box did not work in one of the TVs. On the first point we turned to Shimon, the owner of the place, who brought a machine, but on the second we no longer had the patience to deal with it. Who wants to go on vacation and start taking care of everything that's wrong? By the way, to our complaints regarding the level of cleanliness in the rooms, the bed linen and towels, Shimon responded with "You came to rest in Moshav, I don't know what you expected." When you charge for the night in this seat a cost that is almost the same as the cost of a hotel anyway, I expect an adequate return. Moreover, it is important to note that Shimon or the other hosts are not in the unit area on the weekend, they return to their home in Moshav, and so for any problem or request you have to call them on the cell phone, and as I was told by Shimon: "It's better that you check everything you need now, don't call After that and bother me at dinner.' By the way of meals, the breakfast was nice but definitely not enough for a payment of NIS 60 per adult. We left quite hungry. In short and to sum up - a big disappointment. I don't understand what are all the laudatory reviews that appear here on the site, we were quite in the market.

Too expensive
Place has potential, but the rooms are so badly managed and neglected that it's really not worth the exceptionally high price. Nice, spacious kitchen and dining room, plenty of fridges and freezer space but everything needs to be decorated and cleaned. Unappealing showers, leaking air conditioning, broken fridge in 1 of the rooms, jacuzzi spritzed water all over the room, lousy, cheap cushions. If everything would be fixed up, the place would be a pleasure. But as of now, not worth the huge amount of money that we paid. These were the most expensive rooms we ever saw advertised.
