Anat and Avi Canaan actually mix business with pleasure.

For twelve years, Anat and Avi Canaan have been in the field of recreation, gaining experience, knowledge and reputation. At a certain point, the wind rested on them and with the help of an extraordinary vision and excellent professionals, they turned their complex into a magnificent, high-quality and especially romantic vacation estate.

Their vision was and still is - to do good to people. "We asked ourselves what would make us happy and that we could also make a living from it," says Anat. And she continues: "I discovered that what makes me happy is to do good to people and that's how the decision to renovate the previous complex paid off beyond recognition and "Kanaan Village - a mansion designed to combine a health vacation and a spa, with high level hospitality services" was born.

Arriving at the compound in Had Ness, in the south of the Golan, is a journey in itself. Gradually, after passing the gate and continuing towards the charming fish pond, we will slowly discover another world: a perfect fantasy for a romantic luxury vacation.

In the complex there are five very large suites, designed for couples only, four of them in a series arrangement and one, opal, the bridal suite, is separate.

Despite the shared walls, the four units provide a sense of complete privacy. Whether it's due to the excellent planning, the large private garden attached to each suite and overlooking the Zeida Valley and the Sea of Galilee, or because of their unique non-standard size.

Avi is responsible for the architectural planning and Anat very talentedly won the subject of the interior design of the suites. And the result is a complex built and maintained at a very high level. The architecture is well resolved, down to the level of the screw, and the execution is according to European standards, which respect the guests and their financial investment.

The suites are identical except for a shade that characterizes each one. In the Agate suite, which I visited, a nutty brown color sets the tone and integrates with a dominant natural stone wall.

The spacious suite is equipped with many indulgences: a huge LCD screen, a large orthopedic bed with exceptionally high-quality pure cotton bedding, a large and romantic Jacuzzi, a cinema system, niches designed with decorative objects, original lighting fixtures, an Afghan carpet, a wood-burning fireplace, original paintings from Israeli art, and a long list of accessories and furniture items that convey uncompromising quality.

I especially liked the special bathing complex in the suites: "bathing salon" Anat calls it...
The bathing salon is made up of two separate rooms, a toilet and a bath room, between which is a designed massage room with "lo" and "la" cabinets that offer all the necessary aids and massages. The bathroom is decorated with "quotes" from a real living room: chandelier lighting, a heavy curtain that separates it from the rest of the suite, a "princess mirror" and more.

A couple who wants to, can spend a whole day in the suite, sink into the big bed or stare at the Kinneret view from the jacuzzi. A wise couple would do well to choose to go outside to the spa and pool complex.

"We wanted to give our guests a complete experience" says Anat. "We wanted to envelop them from all directions, to be significant in hospitality, in connection, in giving, so that people will experience something, not just a romantic room for the night" Indeed, in the complex of the pool with the amorphous shape you can have a complete experience.

In order to understand Anat, take for example the crystals scattered everywhere. Even those who do not believe in their properties will be delighted by the atmosphere they create, or take for example the fresh flowers waiting for you in the unit...

In the complex, which is covered in winter and open in summer, you can choose between: Watsu treatments in the pool, another pampering treatment or just a refreshing swim to the sounds of music above and below the water. Drink fruit juices from the beverage bar, sip wine from the wine fridge, eat homely and rich breakfasts, swing by the water, clean your skin pores in the sauna, splash around in the jacuzzi... you should come here for a week.

When I asked what can be done in the area, Anat responded with a smile. "Usually people don't want to leave here, but if they still want to, we will be happy to recommend many activities in the area. There are wine tours, galleries, restaurants, kayaks, horses, ATVs, jeeps, nature trips - just ask."

In conclusion:

The concept at Canaan Village is to provide complete hospitality: all the possible services, all the fantasies, in the best of the best. The experience of disconnecting from the world is very tangible here. Canaan Village is a place where it is very easy to forget that we are in Israel and not in a distant bubble of peace.
