"The place" - a boutique hotel in the Galilee

To the eyes of travelers on the scenic and green road leading to Moshav Netua in the Western Galilee, the boutique hotel "The Place" appears as a spectacular vision, on the border between dream and reality. A picturesque image depicting a magical "Fetta Morgana" kingdom stretching on the side of a high mountain drowning in a dense forest.

Here, on an area of enormous dimensions, on three different elevation levels, are scattered twelve white stone "castles" with blue arches surrounded by a green forest.

Sounds like an opening to an ancient legend, doesn't it? That's exactly how it feels, but upon getting to know the "place" more deeply, I realized that this is a modern legend. After all, a modern-day princess will not be satisfied with a magical atmosphere and incredible beauty, but will also demand "facilitization" at a royal level: a huge private stream pool and her own elaborate spa jacuzzi, an LCD screen the size of a movie projector and a huge king-sized bed with a quality orthopedic mattress that includes a pampering gel layer . And who among us (the girls) wouldn't want to feel like a princess even for one weekend?...

The twelve stone buildings in the boutique hotel "The Place" are luxurious suites and identical to each other, with the exception of a VIP suite intended for special events, which also includes a dry sauna and a slightly different design. Another suite was specially adapted to accommodate people with physical disabilities.

All the suites have beautiful names of the birds of the Land of Israel and this is evidenced by the entrance signs, all of them made by the metal craftsman Reuven Gafni who also made fancy mezuzahs with a sparkling amethyst inside. The spaces that separate the buildings are well-kept garden areas and the large trees hide the pavilions and create privacy for the guests.

I visited the "place" a month before the opening, in the final stages of finishing. That's why I didn't get to visit the two-story building that towers over the suites, which contains a "lobby" for the reception of guests, a dining hall, treatment rooms and a lecture and performance hall. According to the words of Rachel, the spiritual and practical "mother" of the project and the manager of the hotel, the main building will meet the same high standards that are evident in the suites. I have good reasons to believe her.

the suites , and let's start with the central space :

Already upon entering the "Rocky" suite, which I visited, I was impressed by the quality of the finishes and the care taken with each item. The stone steps lead to a massive and particularly impressive entrance door that incorporates carved elements of artistic value. The central space of the suite is impressive with its huge dimensions and unique design. A fusion of the ancient and the modern is used here, which is expressed in the walls of Jerusalem stone and oak, original Mediterranean arches and the choice of clean and contemporary lines. The resulting feeling: classic design.

Soft and indirect "spot" lighting, which illuminates the ceiling beams, creates an atmosphere of heavenly peace and calm here, an exotic wood floor gives the place a feeling of cleanliness and lightness, which is enhanced by airy and romantic curtains, with a shading layer, covering the arched windows, made of Belgian profile frames and sealed and armored glass, which isolates noise and maintains a uniform temperature.

A modern style ceiling lamp and a variety of artistic metal decorative items in a "bird" motif add a luxurious and "aristocratic" aspect to the place.

A particularly beautiful and wide bed, located in the center of the room, was built by the metal craftsman Yuval Talem, who enriched his work with a variety of special carved elements. This royal bed boasts a KING KOIL orthopedic mattress from the NEW FOREST series and a pampering gel layer, and is wrapped in KITAN cotton stan sheets, which are extremely delicate and pampering.

In the niches next to the bed stand unique figurines of Reuven Gafni, interesting books, manuals and updated magazines. In general, the media sector is given special attention here, so the guests will enjoy a sophisticated cinema system, which includes five high-quality speakers and an extremely large LCD screen (50 inches) with a very high resolution.

In the niche below the TV screen is a gas fireplace that simulates burning wood, which in addition to the visual aesthetics is characterized by easy and efficient operation. Another ingenious "polishing" of "the place" - a highly sophisticated shiatsu massage chair that will help guests relieve tension and release tight muscles.

The furniture of the central space is completed by the KASA INDIA living room system, which includes a corner chaise longue sofa and a wooden table.

The pool room

The extra space in the "Hamkom" suites is entirely dedicated to water treats. Imagine a hall illuminated by the light emanating from arched windows facing the forest landscape, light colored in blue-green tones from the reflection of the water of the pool and jacuzzi.

The pool, incredibly large and deep, is able to create waves like in the sea, an experience that makes swimming extremely enjoyable. It is important to note that the middle roof in this room is electric and can be opened upon your request. But before swimming, you must pamper yourself in the large and sophisticated jacuzzi-spa, located nearby. Here you will find sun loungers, a dining area, as well as speakers from the sound system and soft spots to create a romantic and sensual atmosphere.

Another room in the suite is equipped with a kitchenette with an espresso machine from the high-quality NESPRSO series and a TAMI 4 device. Here you will find a dining area with a large table, a living room area with Aminach sofas, which open with one pull, a large and comfortable wardrobe and another LCD screen.

Inner balcony - intimate and secluded facing the mountain view and the natural forest. Next to the balcony there is a green yard, on the wide lawn that is located among the gardeners, you can connect with nature. From here you can also go on a hike into the mountain, according to a route specially prepared for them.

The bathroom is equipped with an elaborate double shower with two large rain heads. It is important to note that the meticulous and eye-catching design of the bathroom does not detract from the design of the rest of the suite. Guests will find here a comfortable and aesthetic wooden bench, wardrobes for robes and shoes, decorative hangers, a large mirror across the wall and, of course, the most luxurious and high-quality massages.

I would like to end this review with a personal confession: during the visit to "the place" I made an important decision: I want to celebrate my and my partner's double birthday only here! Now I'm on my way to set an exact date. and you?
