There is no need to say too much about the settlement of Mat, with a great location high up in the Western Galilee, in front of oak groves and close to many coveted pearls. The house is located in an excellent area, with a huge and private garden bordering a wooded grove. You can just go out directly from the garden and start walking around.

This is a rural residence that has been converted into a vacation home with a different, intimate and quality character, with a fireplace corner, a front porch in the morning and a back porch for the evening. In the beautiful yard that contains a 1.2 m deep pool, we found an organic vegetable and spice garden with fruit trees, and there is also a trampoline for children.

I enter a nice building through the front porch, which contains a table for breakfast and faces east. Opposite is the living room (with a wood-burning fireplace) and the well-equipped kitchen that contains everything you need (yes, including olive oil, spices and more). The rooms are in the left wing, with a master suite with a bed (160 cm) and an en-suite bathroom, 2 double rooms with beds 140 cm wide and a children's room (MMD) with 3 beds. There is also a room with a shared bathroom and guest services. Basically, the place can accommodate about 10 to 12 people.

The dining area is impressive and large with a great dining table in an excellent location in the "center of the house". There is a real rustic character, with many artistic details, a special railing for the stairs that lead to the roof (amazing, with a panoramic view) and warmth that emanates from every corner.

The walls are plastered by hand (sand plaster) by an artisan plasterer. I notice that the walls are carved in round lines with no corners and straight angles. A wooden floor and a relatively low ceiling were installed here, keeping in mind life in cold conditions. Large windows let in a lot of natural light and the warmth of the sun's rays, and natural materials are used as much as possible: wood, bamboo, local ket stone. The feeling is of inclusive and embracing "feminine" architecture.

The roof is flat and overlooks a panoramic view with the idea of holding workshops for Minahan in the future. The house feels connected to the outside and on a level with the yard. It's quite rare in Mata where most of the houses are built on a slope with lots of access steps.

The thought regarding hospitality is: simplicity, connection to yourself and the surrounding nature. There is only one screen in the living room with Wi-fi and connection to Netflix and YouTube.

The kitchen has everything down to the level of the pot and the plate, with a large selection of spices and basic kitchen products. Albert can recommend short and exciting itineraries in and around Matt. The hanging works are his photographs on glass prints and can be purchased and ordered. The place is also animal friendly.

This place is simply "different". This is a real house built with a lot of soul and very far from the image of the traditional B&B. Together with Albert's extensive experience in the field of hospitality, and his holistic and natural approach, I am convinced that my recommendation will be very suitable for families or groups who want to stop the hustle and bustle for a moment, and look inside, into this quiet place in Matat.
