"Habonim Beach" B&B. This beach has never been of better quality.
" The Habonim Beach B&B " is much more than a "b&b." It would be more accurate to describe it as a single suite, in complete privacy, that allows for a romantic vacation on the first line to the sea, which is located right across the street. If we take into account that between the sea and the suite there is a beautiful nature reserve, with tulips blooming in winter and migratory birds stopping to rest before your eyes, then we can understand the advantages of the wonderful location, just 30 minutes from the center.
The advantages, as I witnessed during my visit, do not stop at the location, and go inside, within the walls of the suite, which is designed with clean, quiet lines, one that pays respect to the tranquility around it. An indoor spa jacuzzi on the private "deck" also overlooks the open landscape and the train that occasionally passes by the meadow, allowing you to enjoy the wonders of the water even in winter. So yes, the next stop: Habonim Beach.
By the way, I also have something to say about the hostess, my wife, and even my daughters, so you should keep reading.
...Two hundred years and two daughters ago, my wife and I traveled to Thailand. To this day, when we crash on the couch at the end of the day, we return to the turquoise sea, the rare food, and that hotel with the white curtains that sits right on the beach.
Usually, this is exactly the stage where one of the girls wakes up and brings us back to reality where all of this seems completely imaginary.
This is probably exactly what Judy had in mind when she decided to open their suite in Moshav Habonim. She and her family recently returned from a few good years (with an emphasis on good) in Australia and Thailand, and it seems to me that their way of dealing with the longing is to simply bring the experience here. The location - a meter from the most beautiful beach in the country - is definitely a good start.
Moshav Habonim is located just a 30-minute drive from the center, which attracts even those who don't want to go too far. Opposite Habonim Beach, in the settlement's extension, lies a row of villas on the first line to the sea. In the summer, this is an advantage - a small jump and you are surrounded by pleasant water. In the winter, the reserve is very green, blooming in a variety of colors and is a perfect stopover for migratory birds - this amazing atmosphere makes this season especially sought after among those who know how to appreciate and enjoy nature. Sit in the spa jacuzzi - and you will understand what I am talking about.
The only suite is built with perfect privacy with a glass wall facing the open view. This privacy is achieved by a canopy that separates the upper guesthouse from the ground floor suite and a pergola above the jacuzzi that also allows for bathing in the rain.
Judy takes me to the only suite on the ground floor and I encounter quite a few design touches that continue this "beach house" line. There are oriental light fixtures, light furniture in pleasant turquoise tones, atmospheric pictures and everything you need to feel like you're really not in an ordinary place. Underfloor heating (in winter) gives a perfect feeling. I also find an unconventional, dairy-vegetarian kitchen here, with an electric stove, toaster, microwave-oven, olive oil and spices. I go outside to a large wooden "deck", and discover a covered spa jacuzzi for protection from winter rain, next to which is an elaborate gas fireplace. There is complete privacy here and there is a great view of the kurkar hills and the sea.
Further along the "deck" two beautiful wicker armchairs facing the sea call out to me. I sit down on one of them and look for the girl selling pineapples on a stick. A train passing through the meadow opposite shakes me, and the pineapple is replaced by the upside-down coffee that Judy makes for me in the machine.
The suite is a 4-minute drive from the beach and the charming beaver reserve.
Only when I look at the clock and discover that I've already spent an hour and a half here do I realize how pleasant I was in this place. Maybe it's the design and the view, or maybe it's the silence and the white curtain that flutters just like in memories, that make me lose track of time here. Just like then, and just like there, in Thailand...
What’s on the site?
This is our second visit to the B&B.
The B&B is spacious, very bright, properly maintained and the hosts are very nice.
It was fun to be back, and we will definitely be back.
We stayed about two weeks ago in the Hoof Bonim Zimmer suite. The suite is beautifully designed, clean and organized, the place inspires relaxation and peace, leaving plenty of room for romance and pampering. It was perfect without a doubt we will come back again. Many thanks to Eli for the wonderful hospitality. warmly recommended !
