A new suite that opens in Avirim always interests us, at "Psega". This time, already on the phone I understood that these were unique hosts, and I was very intrigued. This suite, a unit on a huge garden of woods and terraces, overlooks a spectacular view, designed the way a dream should be designed: like an old French film in black and white, only here the colors, fabrics, and finishes allow you a spectacular reality, one of the most special I've come across.
And there is also Carlos and Lior, the hosts, who, beyond the fact that they are two experienced and talented jewelry designers (very!) from Hamkin, are inviting and pleasant people for whom the occupation of hospitality is natural. We opened a beer, put on some music and started walking in this dream.
Location and ambience
Carlos and Lior moved from Tel Aviv, sold everything and purchased a 3 dunam estate in Avirim. They converted their designer store in Shenkin into a suite which they renovated and designed to a very high standard. The name of the suite - "Anna Regina Miriam Fuente" consists of the names of 3 beloved family members who influenced them over the years. The word "puente" means "bridge". In fact, it is a bridge between people and between cultures. The amazing design accordingly combines several styles: "This is how we see Israeliness - a mixing of cultures that creates a beautiful and unique eclectic identity. The character of our design comes from these roots" they say.
The guest house is in the upper part of the plot. The only suite is in the lower part, with complete privacy. The suite can be reached by car through a dirt path that reaches the entrance to the spectacular garden, from which you go up a number of steps and reach the beautiful covered balcony. From there you can watch and get an impression of the (huge) garden that stretches down, the corners of the garden, the lovely hammock corner and the impossible open view that is unique only to knights.
What does the place include
We went inside - it is a "spice" that contains a "vintage" sitting area that overlooks the view, and a dining area. In the interior of the space, with the possibility of hiding it with a beautiful curtain, I found a large double bed. The bathing space was simply carved towards the rock that is integrated as part of it - it turned out really amazing. There is no door that separates the bathroom from the central space as part of the concept of the Moroccan opening that separates. A distant, isolated and ventilated niche.
The visual richness is simply stunning. Smooth concrete floor, designed items on the right and left, old lighting fixtures, and also accessories full of character with modern technological touches: take for example a unique bluetooth speaker that also serves as a designed table. The TV is well placed in a niche, and can be watched from the bed.
The kitchenette is in a separate space that leads to the side entrance - the "official entrance" of the suite. The kitchenette has a coffee machine, mini bar and sink and a variety of treats but you cannot cook.
You should know
As part of the hospitality concept, the vegan breakfasts are made by the hosts themselves at a high level, since the topic of food is important to them. "We have a desire to bring people together with good vegan food," they say, and dinner can also be ordered in advance for an additional fee. Note that you will not find cow's milk in the refrigerator, but other quality milk. The jewelry display will be in a separate location in the complex, which they are currently working on, but don't hesitate to ask to take a look now.
We left with a feeling of
Special people create special places, and Lior and Carlos created one. This suite is like a beautiful jewel, full of character, beyond the definition of time or era. The design, the location, the view and the hosts allow here a truly unique experience, quite rare in our places. For me, this is one of the most worthwhile places I've seen recently.
