Eliflet needs to be experienced today. Not in a year or in five years. Because anyone who wants to visit the village "of yesteryear" that looks like it came out of a black and white educational TV video from the "Rich Ranch" era must do it quickly, before those who live there realize the enormous potential of the settlement located half a meter from Rosh Pina and start building luxury villas and B&Bs that take your annual bonus in exchange for covering the landlord's property tax debt. The "Shirat HaGalil" complex is also like that: simple, pleasant, rustic, spacious and "at eye level."
Location and ambience
B&Bs in Elifelet? This modest settlement is not really considered a tourist powerhouse, but it's clear to me that this will change pretty soon. Perhaps mainly because the settlement is located 5 minutes from the city of Rab, fifteen minutes from the Sea of Galilee (and with a view of it in certain places), and there are countless hiking trails in the area.
The atmosphere here is very rustic, a bit like the old neighborhood where my grandparents lived before they built a nondescript apartment building on their house next to the ground. In short, there is still a charm of simplicity here. The "Shirat HaGalil" complex is located within the settlement, in a residential neighborhood (each estate here has a huge area) and is located on a 2.5 dunam plot.
From the pool area you can see the side of the neighbors' house, but since (someone's) grandparents live there, the expectation of activity from that direction is quite low... so it is unlikely that there will be an impact on the privacy of the pool. The complex is beautifully maintained, full of vegetation, fruit trees, flowers, seating areas and in the center is a large, high-quality, well-built swimming pool. A designed safety iron fence separates the spacious area around the pool from the rest of the complex.
The complex is built around the swimming pool: there are 3 wooden cabins here, not large, and another small villa (relative to the villas available on the market).
What does the place include
The "Shir" cabin is cozy and simple and has a high ceiling, a small living room, a kitchenette (cannot cook) and a wooden dining table (not so comfortable to eat at). The bedroom contains a double bed, a jacuzzi, a wardrobe and a TV. The bathroom has a shower. The balcony has a seating area but it faces the common area and there is no privacy.
The white "Zohar" cabin has a relatively modern design compared to the others. Inside one space there is a double bed, a TV, a chest of drawers, a (almost) double jacuzzi, a small table, a kitchenette (you can't cook) and a single armchair. There is no living room area here, so you can only watch TV from the bed. The bathroom has a small jacuzzi (from the old days) where you can also shower, and in general, the atmosphere is simple and pleasant. In the outdoor area of this cabin there are 2 seating areas and a hammock, and it is also located in front of the pool without privacy.
The "Chen" cabin is located at the edge of the complex. The outdoor area here has complete privacy, although it is opposite the entrance to the villa - but a lot of vegetation hides you. It is also designed in one space with a double bed, TV, chest of drawers, sofas facing the bed (instead of the TV), a small jacuzzi, a table with 2 chairs and a kitchenette (you cannot cook). The bathroom has a shower.
As mentioned, the "Ayalon" villa is relatively small and quite intimate. The entrance to the villa is through a front balcony with 2 seating areas. The common space has a fully equipped kitchen (you can cook) but it feels a bit "empty" in terms of design. There is a dining table and a large living room.
In the 2nd bedroom, there is a double bed, a dresser and a TV. In addition, there are 2 toilets + 2 bathrooms with showers and a large shared wardrobe. The villa has an exit to another spacious balcony facing the pool, which has a table for 6, a barbecue area and a small refrigerator.
You should know
The settlement is very close to Rosh Pina and hiking trails.
We left with a feeling of
We recommend hurrying before the community changes. Sit on the front porch, look at the roofs of the surrounding old houses, smile at passersby along the community paths, and hope that this movie doesn't end so quickly.
