When we decided, in the "Peak" guide, to check out quality B&Bs in the southern region, one of our first choices was to visit the Nahal Haroa Farm. The farm is located relatively "close" to the central region (up to a two-hour drive), and offers an amazing desert experience: endless views, a clear horizon, complete silence, dry, clean air that expands the lungs, and above all - radiant solitude. In addition, unlike most B&Bs in the area that usually offer simple accommodation, the B&Bs at the Nahal Haroa Farm are very high quality and provide an extraordinary romantic vacation experience.

Nahal Haroeh Farm – Your Desert Experience
The choice of the solitary settlement "Havat Nahal HaRoa" (Shepherd with a hoe, meaning a woman) is a natural one. The place, run by Yaara and Avi Saragosti, is a kind of breakthrough for the culture of staying on farms in the south. Until now, a desert vacation has offered us a lot of peace and a lot of scenery.
The two "Shepherd's Stream Farm" suites take advantage of the rare qualities of the desert and add the advantages of a luxury lodge: spectacular interior design, maximum comfort, a luxurious atmosphere and lots and lots of pampering. In addition to all of this, guests of the "Tana" suite will enjoy a private heated swimming pool and a cinema room, located inside the lodge. It is important to note (from the outset) that the travel time to the lodge from the center of the country is a total of two hours, so this is not an impossible task.
Well, imagine yourself: in the Negev Mountains, facing an endless view of pristine and peaceful nature... golden spaces with touches of green... silence. Here, in the middle of nowhere, at the very end of the world, is God's Little Plot (which for some reason brings to mind the book "The Little Prince") - two beautiful stone buildings built of unique flint, isolated and far from each other, housing original and surprising suites.
You will, of course, have to leave your cars in the parking lot about 70 meters from the B&Bs and walk along the gravel path (there is night lighting if you arrive late).
The Tana Suite, one of two identical suites, boasts impressive amenities, including a heated swimming pool in the large private courtyard and a private movie screening room within the lodge itself.
The entrance to the suites is a large shade canopy under which is placed a round mosaic table with two chairs for seating. Under the canopy hangs a hammock that promises many moments of pleasure for the pampering couple. The mesmerizing view of the Roa Stream penetrates into the suites through the eastern wall, which is actually a giant Belgian window.
The construction here is ecological, and this is reflected, among other things, in the unique shape of the buildings themselves, which allows for complete integration with the landscape - the "tail" is dug into the ground and the facade protrudes outward. The building materials are also environmentally friendly and the buildings are made of local materials. These are stones taken right from the surface of the earth here, so each stone has its own shape and character...
Another ecological quality of the building is special insulation that allows for a stable temperature, which means it will be cool in the summer and pleasant in the winter. The floor, which resembles marble, is also built using unique technology and maintains coolness and a pleasant touch on hot summer days.
The spacious space of the suites is decorated in a minimalist style influenced by the cleanliness of the outside views. High-quality solid wood furniture was specially built and includes a cozy dining area, a living room table (on which a bowl of seasonal fruit awaits guests) and a massive, wide and incredibly comfortable bed.
A modern white fabric sofa facing the view blends in with white curtains that provide a striking contrast to the brown-gold tones that dominate the room. Needless to say, you won't find a television here (great!), but there is plenty of good music - in addition to a quality sound system, a variety of excellent CDs await you here for especially romantic moments.
At your service is a kitchen equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, toaster, refrigerator, and a mini-bar containing soft/hot drinks, chocolates, cheeses, nuts, and other surprises.
A large jacuzzi tub is located in a spacious and well-designed bathroom, ready and waiting to refresh you at all hours of the day.
And to stimulate the taste buds of breakfast, I will mention the local dairy where Avi and Ya'ara produce fine, handmade goat cheeses.
In conclusion:
The summit guide deserves to be honored at "The Shepherd's Stream Farm" (ask the hosts about the origin of the interesting name) as the first accommodation complex presented in the southern region. There is no doubt that the "Geffen" and "Tana" suites will change everything you thought about a desert vacation. You are invited to luxurious accommodation accompanied, from the moment of booking, by courteous and warm service.
