The owners dreamed, they built, and here is the result: a beautiful and spacious hospitality estate located in a spacious and beautifully designed stone building, perched above the summit of Mount Canaan at an altitude of 680 meters between Rosh Pina and Safed. The estate has five large suites, with an elaborate and precise design, a swimming pool, a treatment complex, a luxurious entrance lobby and a dining room overlooking the view.
But these are just the dry details. In fact, "Bat Oren Manor" is much more than the sum of its parts. If you will allow us to use "forbidden" superlatives, we would point out that this is a masterpiece in the field of architecture and design: a multitude of rare qualities come together here, complementing and enhancing each other and creating a harmonious, complete and rich picture.
Location and ambience
Sculptor Bat Oren Pollak spent six fascinating years formulating the idea of establishing an intimate boutique hotel on the heights of Mount Canaan.
During those years, she traveled around the world, collected rare art pieces, explored classic and exotic design styles, sought inspiration, and most importantly, looked forward to the moment when she could fulfill her dream.
When she finally approached the construction work, it was clear to her that the work that was about to be realized would include everything she had learned along the way and express her philosophical, spiritual, and practical insights about beauty, aesthetics, and art.
As mentioned, the result is a dream. Beyond the bare essentials - five large suites, a swimming pool, a treatment complex, a luxurious entrance lobby and a dining room overlooking the view - the place is endowed with non-standard "brilliances".
The flight of imagination takes place here in the face of stylistic precision and cleanliness, aristocratic luxury corresponds with pastoral simplicity, a display of exquisite artistic details is presented alongside a complete avoidance of kitsch, pretentiousness, ostentatiousness, or clutter.
Each suite is designed in a different style, which takes us to distant lands: classical France, sensual Mexico, oriental Morocco, rural Greece and traditional Japan. The common denominator of all the design works at the hotel can be defined as a sensitive approach to space, perfect coordination between color combinations and shapes, and a quiet and natural atmosphere.
The experience begins even before entering the hotel building: the isolated location at the end of a quiet side street ensures complete privacy for guests, the pastoral atmosphere is soaked in the sights and scents of nature, and the panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee and the Galilee Mountains surrounds the complex on all sides.
The mansion has two floors – the entrance floor contains a common area for hotel guests and two suites with high balconies – the French Suite and the Mexican Suite. On the lower floor are three additional suites – the Moroccan, Greek and Japanese, as well as the spacious treatment area.
The interior area shared by hotel guests is built with an eclectic approach that combines Mediterranean and European inspirations: rounded walls in shades of Hamra with earthen plaster, arches, ceramic tiles, a sliding window along the exterior wall that provides natural lighting and the visual presence of the Sea of Galilee view within the space – all of which are designed to connect visitors to the cultural, historical and geographical roots of the place.
On the other hand, the design of the space is made in the purest classical style: restored furniture, chandelier-like lighting fixtures, a variety of works of art, the use of wooden and metal elements - the atmosphere created thanks to all of this is full of European elegance and luxury with a high taste.
The spacious space is divided into the lobby area, where guests are invited to rest after arriving at the estate, a library corner, equipped with a large number of quality books and films, and the luxurious dining room, which also extends to the open balcony.
Quiet music, fine refreshments available during the day, alcoholic beverages alongside coffee and tea, thoughtful and fast service – guests are invited to indulge in a relaxed and liberating feeling.
The French and Mexican suites are located at either end of the space. Each has a separate private entrance, allowing guests to enter their room without having to pass through the common area. These suites are equipped with spectacular balconies with an open view that reveals the Sea of Galilee in all its glory.
A staircase leads to the spacious lower level, also designed in a fusion style that combines Mediterranean influences in the color palette and building materials and European influences in the decoration and furniture details. Three suites – Moroccan, Greek and Japanese – are located in the complex, each boasting a private outdoor area with a spectacular garden overlooking the view.
The treatment complex offers couples a liberating and relaxing experience in a designed room equipped with two treatment beds and a sophisticated shiatsu chair. Another space located nearby is intended for intimate workshops.
A compact swimming pool is designed for use in the warm season. Here, guests will find spectacular seating areas, plenty of sunbeds, and of course, the open view.
